KEN SILBERLING, SENIOR VP

Ken’s has vast experience in the South Florida commercial /industrial real estate market with expertise in leasing, investments and market analysis He was previously Regional Senior Vice President for Truss, an online commercial real estate marketplace where he developed a comprehensive database of South Florida office space and represented corporate tenants in lease negotiations.

He began his career as Director of Research for Cushman and Wakefield’s Miami office and became a go-to source of information for the local and national media. He later started the research division at Colliers International and became a founding partner at Commercial Florida Realty Partners where he designed market databases, authored market reports and branched into tenant representation and investment sales. He moved on to Danburg Properties of Boca Raton as Vice President of Leasing and Acquisitions where he completed over 700 leases and helped to substantially increase the company’s investment and development portfolio.

He is the author of KenTrends, a blog on commercial real estate and related fields and has achieved national recognition for his blogging and social media activity. He has been a guest speaker and panelist for numerous commercial real estate organizations. His articles have been published via Propmodo and The Broker List and he has been quoted in The South Florida Sun Sentinel, The Miami Herald, The South Florida Business Journal and the Wall Street Journal.

Levy Realty Advisors Tapped To Lease, Manage 500,000-SF Retail/Industrial Portfolio

Levy Realty Advisors has been awarded the exclusive right to manage and lease Palmetto Lakes Shopping Center, a ±227,000-square-foot retail center located at the intersection of Red Road and the Palmetto Expressway in Miami Gardens at 5500 NW 167 Street, along with 5 industrial buildings totaling 300,000 square feet in the Palmetto Lakes Industrial Park located just south of the shopping center.

Levy Realty Advisors recently completed a $100,000 renovation of the retail plaza, anchored by Home Depot, Big Lots, AT&T, Wendy’s, Enterprise and BB &T Bank, with more capital improvements planned for both the retail as well as the industrial buildings.

This new assignment puts Levy Realty Advisors’ total management portfolio at approximately 3,565,000 square feet and marks the company’s first presence in Miami-Dade County, a goal of Levy Realty Advisors COO Joshua Levy.

YEAR END 2018 RESULTS:
The Company is pleased to announce that during the 12 month Calendar Year ending on 12/31/18, the company set a new record for leasing volume.
The Company completed leases totaling 1,022,040 Square Feet of Industrial, Office, and Retail space and ended up with less the 5% vacancy at year end for its overall 3.3 million Sq Ft under Management.  

In 2018, the Company added 6 new Property Management Assignments to its roster of
Property Management Accounts totaling an additional 550,000 Square Feet:

Josh Levy has been appointed Chief Operating Officer:

In 2011, Josh Levy graduated Cum Laude from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Philosophy. He worked briefly in politics before going back to school for his Master's degree in 2013 at Columbia University in the City of New York. While working towards a Master of Public Administration, Josh led a team of his peers in developing new analytic tools for The World Bank, and after receiving his degree, Josh became a part of the United Nations West Africa Integrated Operational Team, where he monitored developments in post-ebola Liberia. In 2015, Josh successfully launched a humanitarian mission in Uganda to construct disability accessible infrastructure in local primary schools, and in 2016 he managed several economic research initiatives in India with a focus on improving access to financial services for people living in extreme poverty. Since returning to the US, Josh has utilized his background in economics, communications, and negotiations to execute a number of business transactions and facilitate the growth of his family's business.

Rich Baker has been appointed Chief Financial Officer:

Richard moved to Florida in 1998 from Albany, New York after receiving his education in Accounting and working in the accounting/bookkeeping department for a Real Estate firm in Albany, New York for 4 years. Richard was hired by Levy Realty Advisors, Inc. in 1999 to handle the back office accounting and financial reporting for all of Levy Realty Advisor's Property Management and Corporate needs. Richard's role as Chief Operating Officer has become increasingly more important and has assisted the company with Y2K compliance, computer networking, improving the efficiency of the property management division and enabling the company to maintain controlled growth through enhanced technological advancements which he has single handedly implemented. Richard also serves as Alan Levy’s assistant to help manage and run the Corporate Office.
